Lightning Crashes

Lightning Crashes

A pretty impressive lightning storm passed over Washington last night. I set out with my Rebel XT and tripod to try and photograph lightning for the first time. Once I figured out the right exposure (best to use bulb) and f-stop (8), I was able to capture over 200 images. This is one of my early favorites.

This photo was part of the DCist Exposed Photography show at the Warehouse Gallery in Washington, DC.

Time blogger Andrew Sullivan was kind enough to post this photo on his blog's The View From Your Window.
