Looking Over

The top of the Arsenal Monument at the Congressional Cemetery in Washington, DC (Great blue sky courtesy of circular polarizer and the Fall season). The monument honors the lives of 17 women women who died while working at the U.S. Arsenal after an explosion on June 17, 1864. The mile-long funeral procession was lead by President Abraham Lincoln.
