  • I'm happy to announce that this Thursday marked the release of Dinaw Mengestu's The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears which features one of my photos on the cover. The book tells the story of Ethiopian emigrants in Washington, DC struggling as the city and their neighborhood transforms and gentrifies. It's a good read and has received great reviews from both literary and national publications. I am very proud of the way the cover came out and I can't explain the joy I get seeing it in bookstores.
