  • In one of the funnest movie promotion I've ever seen, The Simpsons Movie and 7-11 teamed up to convert several 7-11 locations nationwide into Kwik-E-Mart. The outside of the building was painted yellow and signs were replaced. Inside, various Simpsons-branded product were sold along with everyday product in themed displays (slurpee=squishy). Large cutouts of Simpsons characters hovered through out the store including the old guy in the freezer. Side note: Who paid whom for this promo? This wasn't just a promo for a movie. The 7-11 was full to capacity and people were buying things left and right.
